What Would The World Say?

September 27, 2012

I do ask myself this question sometime, usually when another brilliant idea on how to save the world presents itself and I grind my teeth with frustration at my impotent helplessness. “The world should listen to me!” I think at those times, “the world is all wrong, messed up, broken, heading for disaster. It must be saved, fixed, healed, changed!”.

I find, in those moments, that it is very helpful to imagine what the world’s opinion might be on my assertions that it is all wrong. I find it helpful to see myself as the world might see me and to wonder: would the world like me? Would the world enjoy having me in it?
